Crossover Purifier: The Combination of Purifier and Circulator

With such a crossover purifier, I naturally had to take it to the places we use most often to see if it could replace our previous equipment in those environments. First Stop: The 3-Ping Bedroom: Quickly Providing Clean Air

To test the cleaning effect of the acerpure cool 3-in-1 HEPA filter, I chose a 3-ping bedroom. Through a closed space and instruments, I sought to understand its efficiency and speed in purifying the air.

I conducted this experiment once during the day and once at night to verify if the effects were consistent. Before the experiment, I opened the windows to ventilate and circulate the air, hoping to make the indoor and outdoor air quality as consistent as possible.

I then used this air quality monitor to measure the air quality in the room. During the daytime test, PM2.5 was 42µg/m³, and formaldehyde and total volatile organic compounds (TVOC) were 0.

I then closed the doors and windows and turned on the acerpure cool. After turning it on, I saw the PM2.5 index on the monitor drop rapidly. The speed of the drop was astounding, cutting by more than half in less than 5 minutes.

After reaching 13µg/m³, the rate of decline slowed down. After about 20 minutes of testing, the PM2.5 on the monitor stopped at 8µg/m³, so I paused the test.

At this time, I measured the PM2.5 value at the air outlet, which was about 1µg/m³. It is evident that the air it emits is still affected by the circulation fan and the environment, but it is still within an acceptable range.

For the second test conducted at night, I used a time-lapse method to record it. Through this video, you can see that the PM2.5 before the test was 24µg/m³, and after about 10 minutes, the value reached 8µg/m³. Watching the value drop continuously, its filtering effect is truly stunning.

I think this excellent filtering effect is related to this 3-in-1 HEPA filter. It combines 3 filters with different functions. The manufacturer states that it can isolate PM1.0 in the air, 99.97% of particulate matter, and over 90% of harmful substances such as bacteria and formaldehyde in the air.

The outermost pre-filter can be used to block hair and dust. Especially for a family like mine with pets, this layer can block pet dander.

By photographing the filter against the light, you can see a black layer under the pre-filter. This is the activated carbon deodorizing filter, which can be used to remove harmful gases and odors. As for its effectiveness, I also received verification in subsequent tests.

The innermost layer is this HEPA 13 filter, which uses multi-layered pleats to expand the adsorption area. It can filter PM1.0 particles in the air, 99.97% of 0.3µm particulate matter, and effectively remove bacteria from the air.

In addition to the 3-in-1 HEPA filter, a Silver Ion Anti-Viral Filter was also gifted during the pandemic.

By attaching it around the pre-filter with Velcro, you can increase the ability to fight against viruses in the air, providing capabilities against both bacteria and viruses. The effectiveness of this silver ion filter has been certified by a third-party laboratory, reaching a 92.18% antiviral activity rate against H1N1.

The replacement method for this set of 3-in-1 HEPA filters is also very simple. Just turn the base latch clockwise to the unlocked position to remove the filter, unlike another purifier in my home where I have to look at the manual every time I change it because the design is so complicated.

Second Stop: 10-Ping Living and Dining Room: Up, Down, Left, and Right Circulation Airflow, Cleaning Without Obstacles

The second stop is our living room and dining room, with an area of about 10 ping and a maximum width of 6 meters. This is the area where family members move the most frequently, and the purifier here is often turned on 24 hours a day. Fourth Stop: 6-Meter-Long Study: Even Far Away, You Can Feel the Clean Air
